Since it was established in 2000 as 'As Seen On Screen', the destination for clothing and other items seen in films or on TV, Asos has come a long way. Early on, Nick Robertson, co-founder, saw the potential to venture out into marketing own-label and third-party branded apparel. The project snowballed, to say the least, resulting in a £ 1.4 billion turnover in 2020!

Yet this week just twenty years later, ASOS proudly announced the takeover of Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT brands from failed retail group Arcadia in a deal worth a humongous £295m.
